My solo trips to the supermarket with Little One haven't always been very productive either and I've ended up throwing anything into the trolley just to get round as quickly as possible before he has grown tired of sitting in his little seat in the trolley.
This week daddy came along to Tesco and we decided to make the weekly shop into a bit of a new game, carrying Little One around, letting him pick the items off the shelf and letting him feel the different textures of the packaging. It was actually a very pleasant, fun experience! Little One has developed quite a curious personality, and he was loving going down the aisles, looking at all the different packets and brightly coloured packaging. He was just in his element and it was so sweet watching his little face light up as we pushed him around the store. We even got him out of the trolley and let him practise his walking, daddy holding his hands as he tottered carefully down the aisle.
It is such an ordinary part of our routine, and one which is normally chaotic and stressful. It was lovely that it ended up being a fun little family outing where Little One was developing his curiosity and showing a really cute cheeky side to his personality.
