Over the past couple of months, we have started a bit of a weekly or fortnightly tradition of going over for a play in the garden and dinner on a Wednesday evening. Little One loves it there so much and feels so comfortable with his surroundings, he runs about the house like he owns the place! He has his own little toy corner in the house and a set of special toys which he only gets to use when he is there.
Last Wednesday, with the weather being so lovely, we headed on over there for the evening again. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, Little One couldn't wait to get out of the car seat, run up to the door and ring the door bell. We played in the garden while the sun was still out and it was so lovely and warm. Their garden has a lovely big flat lawn, perfect for little feet to run about on. We sat and had a few drinks as we watched him cleaning pebbles in the fountain and digging up soil with his trowel. He ran about playing football with Daddy and blew giant bubbles with Mummy.
It really was the most perfect, most simple of evenings. Sitting in the sunny garden, cold drink in hand, playing with Little One watching him run around excitedly, with constant giggling and smiling. I really couldn't ask for much more. It's these simple moments which often mean the most, and for these I am truly thankful.
