Weekly Grocery Shop and Meal Plan

I started doing posts on our weekly grocery shop and meal plans a while ago, and I found it really useful. Firstly, I felt motivated to actually sit down and plan a week's worth of meals, and secondly, it made me stick to the plan without needing to pop down to the local shop mid-week because I've forgotten a vital part of a meal.

After weeks of being really slack with our meal planning and grocery shopping, we have got back into it and I thought I'd share what I bought today and what meals we have planned for this week. When we have a busy week, we prefer to plan fairly simple, yet tasty and healthy meals which we know how to prepare without the need for a recipe. We tend to shop at Tesco (wither in store on online) as we collect Clubcard points and Tesco credit card points too and fresh meat is from our local Butcher's shop as it's top quality and locally produced.

Here is what we bought. The groceries, including meat from the Butcher's, came to £78.91, for a family of three. This includes some cupboard stock which will last a while and essential toiletries too.

  1. Oooh, perhaps I should start writing a post like this... My grocery shop for this week was around £70. I do still need to buy nappies though.
    Lovely sounding meal plan. :)

  2. Love your meal plan, sounds like a really great week of meals planned. I love beef bourgignon, one of my favourite meals. Have a great week :)
