What is it about going to feed the ducks which transports you so vividly back to your own childhood? There's just something so lovely and simple about heading down to the park, having a bit of a run around and scattering little morsels of bread for the ducks. It's just one of those things that encapsulates childhood.
This week we had our second picnic of the year down at the park and were joined by one or two (hundred) feathered friends. It was lovely to stand back and watch as Little One stood there, gently pulling off little pieces of bread and throwing them for the ducks and geese. He wasn't frightened of them and was so gentle with them. There's also something so magical about watching a toddler gradually develop their own sense of independence and curiosity. Curious to know what things do or what unfamiliar things are. Every day a new story, a new adventure. It's lovely to experience these moments through a child's eyes.
Aww such a lovely post. I love how magical these little things become! x
