{Weekly Bump Update} Week 14

I loved being able to share our special news and also my first weekly bump update last week, especially as I never recorded anything in that way when I was expecting Little One. I do remember that when I was expecting him, it was by finding and reading other people's bump updates that I got into reading blogs in the first place. I loved reading about how other people were feeling, and what symptoms I could expect at certain weeks in the pregnancy. Even now, it's interesting to see what different people experience at certain points, especially as I can't remember many symptoms from my first pregnancy.

I am now 16 weeks + 4, so I'm still catching up with these updates. Week 14 was an exciting one for us as we were in France for part of it, flew home and then headed straight to the hospital the following day for our first scan. The sonographer confirmed our predicted due date of New Year's Day tock in the hospital as we hadn't been back since we left to go home with Little One after he was born. It was wonderful seeing baby on the sonographer's screen and because I was in my 14th week, the baby was already well developed and the picture was really clear (although we definitely have another wriggler who won't lay still for sonographers). The sonographer confirmed our predicted due date of New Year's Day too. I also had the various blood tests which I hate as I'm a massive needle-phobe and panic at the thought of injections, needles and blood tests. Not great for me as I have an O negative blood type, so will have the anti-D treatment later on in my pregnancy.

It was wonderful being able to finally tell our family about our news, with many trying to guess the gender by looking at our 14 week scan. I have no inklings as to whether it's a boy or a girl yet...

    1. Aww thank you so much Katie, I am finding it hard to remember to take photos every friday as there's always something else that crops up, but hopefully I'll be able to catch up! Yes I got a little bump very early on, as my muscles split with F so my tummy wasn't as tight- can't seem to hold this one in! x
