{Me and Mine} A Family Portrait Project 2015- October

You may well have seen my blog post from yesterday all about our little October trip to pick pumpkins at Farmer Copleys in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. We went a couple of weeks ago before the mad rush of half term, and so there was such a huge selection of amazing pumpkins to choose from and it wasn't too busy. We really had the most wonderful afternoon, so simple but such a nice little family trip out and we'd like to make this a little yearly October tradition now. I was super organised and decided to get our monthly Me & Mine photos that day, and I'm really pleased I did as I love the colours with the greens and bright orange pumpkins and looking at the pictures makes me feel Autumnal and cosy.

Strangely, unlike almost every other month of 2015, I haven't found October to fly by. We haven't really had many plans to speak of and Mr F has been away working a lot. We had two weeks of endless doctor and hospital appointments too, and that felt like it took up a large chunk of the month. I'm now just over 31 weeks pregnant and feeling pretty huge. I don't want to wish these last few weeks away but I'm starting to feel quite uncomfortable.

Today (31st October) is also my final day in my 20s which feels really quite strange. I feel like I've been in my 20s for such a long time- obviously 10 years, but I feel I've done so much in those 10 years- been to university, got my first proper job, learnt to drive, trained as a teacher, married Mr F, bought a house together, had LO and now I'm expecting our second son. There have been a lot of highs and inevitably some real lows too, but I'm quite looking forward to entering the era of my 30s. So on to November- I have my 30th birthday and also a surprise weekend away with Mr F to celebrate my birthday which I'm really looking forward to. Hopefully I won't get too huge and we'll also plan a few nice days out with LO before the impending due date...

Thank you to my youngest sister for taking our Me & Mine photos this month.

  1. Hahahaha. I love that Mr F is loving Jurgen Klopp.... I am too! I'm not a football fan in the slightest, but my hubby is a Liverpool fan and has been following all the latest, and Jurgen Klopp just really makes me smile for some reason.
These photos are just gorgeous. I love how happy and relaxed you all look, and the pumpkins add such a great pop of colour. x
