The past week has just flown by and it's really been a nice week all round really. Last week my mum and I went to the opening of a fabulous new shopping centre in our city (so long awaited that it was even on national news!) It was lovely to go shopping together and we picked up a few baby bits including some tops from H&M, newborn size 1 nappies (I forgot how small they are) and I also started buying things for my hospital bag, mostly toiletries but it's a start.
Mr F and I have started to think a bit more seriously about names and have 2 or 3 in mind, but we won't decide until we meet him. Picking a name is so much harder than you might think- everyone seems to have an opinion even if it's not their baby, and so I think we are going to keep our names under our hats from now until we have named him as I don't want to be influenced by other people or have people say they don't like a certain name as it's happened too many times now. Mr F and LO spent some lovely father and son time together at the weekend building the moses basket for baby. It was really cute to watch LO help, and even cuter when he tried to lie down in it. I was more than happy to sit and watch and sort out all LO's old new born clothes. They're so tiny!
How far along? 32 weeks + 3 days
Weight: Have put on 4lbs this week (feels more like 2 stone!) and am now 10 stone 4lb
Maternity clothes? I am even finding maternity jeans uncomfortable around my waist now so I think I'll stick to leggings!
Stretch marks? :( my skin is actually driving me mad- it's so so uncomfortable now!
Sleep: Varies, but I've been having weird dreams and some awful nightmares too which wake me up and then I can't sleep. Some days I feel tired by about 9:30am and will nap occasionally in the afternoons.
Best moment this week: Going to Lincoln for the weekend for my 30th birthday. Although I found it really exhausting walking around the city all day.
Miss anything? Being able to bend over to put socks and shoes on.
Food cravings: I feel like all I'm eating is carbs and unhealthy stuff. I have the occasional pang for a McDonalds. I still adore cereal.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Cooking makes me feel queasy again
Labour signs: Not yet hopefully, although I had a few dull aches and pains earlier in the week- not sure if it was Braxton Hicks maybe?
Symptoms: Itchy skin, a few dull aches, a few pains in my pelvis and that feeling of the baby feeling like he may fall out at any second...
Belly button in or out? Out, but less so now my skin is stretching more
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody: Happy and excited but very very tired.
Looking forward to: Washing/ironing all the baby clothes and getting them put away ready for baby
