{Us in November 2015} #mymonthlymontage

Recently, the lovely Alex from Bump to Baby started doing a video series called #mymonthlymontage. The concept is to combine all those short video clips of everyday ordinary moments you collect but never end up watching again. So many of these clips on iPhones are precious memories, often consigned to a folder on a laptop never to be watched again. But with #mymonthlymontage, her idea was to collect all the clips over the course of a month and then post them in one montage video. I spoke to her in October having watched her October video, and thought it would be great to join in with her lovely idea.

And so in November, I made sure that I captured some of our most ordinary of moments in short video clips, all taken on my iPhone. They aren't particularly creative, and our month wasn't the most exciting (I worry people might think we are a bit boring in fact!) but it captures our everyday, our ordinary moments and it's real life, from mess around the house, baggy at home clothes and clearing up lunches to days out in the park and trips to the supermarket. It shows us how we are and I love that we can look back on these and see what we got up to in everyday life. I especially love how it's captured a bit of LO talking and singing too, I'm just sorry there's not more of Mr F in it, but most of the clips are from the daytime when he's away working.

Watching it back, I'm really pleased I have collated all these clips as it's amazing what you forget over a month. I also loved showing Mr F as I often take for granted how much of our day he doesn't get to see during the week.

  1. I loved watching this and the song made me quite emotional! Freddie is so sweet, and like you say too I think him & P would get along so nicely. Loved the bit where you guys were chasing each other in the living room. Fab xxx

    1. Aww thank you so much Nat :) yes that song is gorgeous isn't it? I really think they'd get on so well! He just gets on with things, but he is so ready to have a little brother to play with now. Haha yes chasing each other around the living room, him on the scuttlebug, me pushing his toy pushchair is a daily occurrence for us- it wears me out! xxx

  2. Oh I absolutely love this idea. I always think what a waste of all these mini clips i haven't used and need to do something with. I might have to join in. Lovely concept and to look back would be great.
