{Weekly Bump Update} Week 37

I am officially now FULL TERM and baby brother could arrive at any time now although I highly doubt he'll make an early appearance somehow... I truly cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown- and with December being as chaotic as it is, this month is just whizzing by. Although I feel huge and quite uncomfortable, I do want to enjoy these last few weeks, the little movements the kicks and also lots of quality time with LO before the crazy times commence with two little boys in the house!

I saw the midwife yesterday. Blood pressure was a bit low, but she said that's to be expected at this late stage. I do worry I am overdoing things a little, I am doing a lot of blog stuff late in the evenings and staying up till midnight most nights. I don't feel especially tired but it can't be good for me. I then overwork myself in the day, particularly as we have been doing so much around the house to get stuff ready. I am very house proud at the best of times but I've become crazy cleaning and tidying lady the last few days. I can't sit still and always feel the need to be sorting drawers, hoovering or sorting out things. I've got loads done now though, and finally feel that I can settle and do some less energetic activities like ironing and putting away baby clothes which have been sitting waiting for weeks now.

We bought some new furniture for the nursery this week. Technically it's not 'new'- we got a lovely white IKEA chest of drawers from ebay which looks brand new, and we are getting a white cot today. We felt LO could stay in his cotbed (now a toddler bed) for at least another year, and his is a wood effect, so we thought white furniture would look better in the grey nursery. It's all coming together nicely, and my mother in law and I are doing upholstery and curtain bits this week, I cannot wait!

How far along? 37 weeks + 4 days
Weight: Lost a pound, now 10st 4lbs
Maternity clothes? George at Asda have kindly sent me some lovely pieces from their maternity range, and I can't wait to try them.
Stretch marks? My skin has really suffered, I really hope it recovers
Sleep: Awful! I find it really hard to get to sleep now, and then wake 2-3 times a night. Every other night I find I'm barely sleeping at all.
Best moment this week: Getting the new nursery tidy and ready for finishing touches
Miss anything? Christmas and festive food like stilton, red wine and mulled wine
Food cravings: Still totally obsessed with Weetos
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing
Gender: BOY
Labour signs: Nothing really this week. No cramps like I did last week
Symptoms: Nothing!
Belly button in or out?  Out, but less so now my skin is stretching more
Wedding rings on or off: On.
Happy or moody: Happy but also quite tired
Looking forward to: Enjoying the festive period with family and friends, and doing lots of relaxing. Midwife has ordered me to slow down and relax!

    1. I know, hopefully it won't be too long now... feeling a bit uncomfy but it's ok! can;t wait for LO to have a brother more than anything xx

  2. I can't believe how lovely your bump is! Really not long to go? I am awful at maths, potentially could you have a christmas baby? Mads was born on Christmas Eve! x

    1. Aw thank you! It really is huge for my small 5ft 4" frame though! I carried big with LO though. Potentially, yes I could have baby this week, I'll be 39 weeks on Christmas day, although LO was two weeks late so fully expecting to go overdue again, but I really hope I won't! xx
