It's been a bit of a quiet week over on my blog this week. I think it's inevitable with having a toddler and a little baby who really doesn't like it unless he's held- I just can't seem to find time to do much at the moment, but as with everything baby related, a week ticks by and one thing just gets that little bit easier. I sometimes find that it takes a week or two to realise how things have got easier, be it that they sleep more, they're not feeding as often or just that they're generally more content through the dat or less colicky at night.
Anyway, after starting back up with joining in Morgana's Little Loves link up, I'm keen to keep joining in as I love reading everyone else's posts and I also like taking a little moment to look back and remember all the little things I've been loving lately.
It's been a baby boom this week in blog world and I have absolutely loved reading on social media of the arrivals of Nat's baby girl, Katie's baby boy and then Charlotte's baby girl earlier this week. It's been really nice to hear how they've been getting on and it's also made me realise how quickly time has passed recently. It only feels like a couple of weeks ago that Little L was born, and he's now 3 and a half months old!
We have actually had some sunshine here in Yorkshire and been able to sit out in the garden for once. I have loved just being able to sit and watch LO play as content as can be in the sunshine. He also loves being a superstar helper and I really enjoyed watching him help with the laundry on the washing line...
In an attempt to get back into shape after having Little L (and preferably before we go on our holiday with Mark Warner) we are trying to eat a it more healthily- fewer heart meals which are really filling, and more chicken and salad stuff. I find it extremely hard to stop myself eating treats so won't deprive myself of things I enjoy. This week Mr F made a deliciously simple and healthy meal- baked sweet potato, roasted vegetables, sticky chicken and rice and peas. Delicious!
Little L wore a gorgeous outfit by Next this week. The leggings and little hat have milk bottles all over them and the top says I love milk. I bought it quite a while ago and I know a lot of people have been trying to source the outfit which seems to be out of stock everywhere.
Lots of gurgles and coos from my littlest this week. He's really developing his own little personality and I think it's helped massively that I've started taking him to a few baby groups of his own. It's nice for us to have some mummy-son bonding time while LO is at nursery on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And while I could so easily use those days to try and catch up on things at home, I've set those days aside to take him to a Baby Sensory class and a Rhythm Time group. It's great to get out of the house with him, meet other mummies and just spend a bit of quality time with him. I also find it really helpful for hearing about fun activities to do with them at home. I will be featuring a few ideas on my blog in the coming weeks...
I have filmed a couple of videos this week for my YouTube channel (yet to be uploaded), which is in it's very early stages. I have previously just put on a few of our holiday videos set to music, and did some vlogmas videos at Christmas too, as well as a few monthly montages. I'd like to do a few more chatty style videos, hauls, and also, if we ever move house, more interiors videos and house tour type stuff. I don't really have any subscribers though and I feel it's a shame to put some much time into making them for me to watch back myself (or my mum!) so would love a few more subscribers! The link to my channel is here.
