{Me and Mine} A Family Portrait Project 16- September

If I had to sum up September in three words it would be chaotic, busy and memorable. It saw us go on our first holiday  as a family of four, to the Greek island of Rhodes- our first since Little L has been a part of a our little family. It was of course an extremely memorable holiday because of the fact it was our first as a four, but also because it was because of such a wonderful experience though my blog that we were able to go on the holiday at all. I was extremely fortunate back in February to have been chosen as one of Mark Warner's ambassadors for 2016, and so having chosen Levante Beach Resort as our desired holiday location, we decided to book it for September and it really has made September a special landmark in 2016 for us.

I am writing more about our wonderful holiday in more detail in separate posts of course (you can read part 1 here), but it really was such an enjoyable week for us all, and it did us all the world of good to be away from our house and to get away from the regular weekly routine and the daily chores like cleaning and cooking. It helped us strengthen our bond as a family of four and Little L thrived on all the additional attention he received throughout the week, bot just from us but from fellow guests and wonderful hotel staff too. It was also a great opportunity for Little L to spend a bit more quality time with his daddy and those two certainly strengthened their bond and their understanding of one another.

Going on holiday at the start of the second week has made the month feel really short for some reason. I think because the whole week before we went I spent packing, cleaning the house and sorting everything else out for the holiday. We then came back and I was really unwell with a sickness bug a few days later- luckily I am recovered from that now but equally, I'm really starting to feel the strain of nearly 9 months worth of sleepless nights. Little l's teething has dominated much of the second half of September and it's made his night time sleeping so hit and miss. Packing up the house just isn't happening at the moment- we are both so exhausted and sleep deprived!

And so on to October. I think it's one of my favourite months and this one is likely to be a very exciting one for us, with a potential house move and relocation to a new area in the UK. I wonder if our next Me and Mine photos will be taken in the new house or not...? I just love the Autumnal air, the falling colourful leaves and the cosy evenings in.

My photos for this month are of course taken at Levante Beach Resort in Greece. I found it notoriously difficult to capture many photos of the four of us together. LO mostly refused to be in them and I did't have my tripod, so we either balanced the camera on bags or tables. Luckily a fellow guest walked past and kindly offered to take these photos of my little family... They were taken in a total hurry but look g at them will always bring back such lovely memories as our week awa in Rhodes- our first as a family of four.

But of course, the month of September was busy in the ways too. As I mentioned above, I got a bad sickness bug but I bounced back to normal within 36 hours or so. The other big news is that Little L had his first day at nursery last week and he abolsutely loved going which is very reassuring to me.

Here are my happy sunshiney photos for September with my little tribe of boys...
