Two days after L's birthday we set off to fly to the French Alps for our first ski holiday as a family. We went for a week to Tignes with Mark Warner Holidays, and it really was the most incredible experience. We had such an amazing week and having never skied before, I was quite apprehensive about the whole thing, but once we were there we just had the best time out there with the boys. I am so utterly grateful that we have had the chance to be Mark Warner ambassadors for the year and I will never take these amazing experiences we have had for granted. I've just been looking through some of my photos and the video I made of our week in Tignes and I just want to be back there again, surrounded by snow, sipping on hot chocolates and mulled wine, taking the boys out sledging and skiing down soft snowy pistes. Mr F warned me that I'd become hooked and I never believed him, but I think we might just need to book our next trip...
Anyway, I'll be documenting our ski trip over a few posts over the next week or so. But for now, here's a couple of photos which we took on one of our sledging afternoons with the boys. The snow in Tignes was really extreme when we were there, and the temperatures were so cold I really found it hard to take photos, not to mention finding suitable places to prop my camera without it falling into the snow. I do love these photos of the four of us though and they'll always remind me of that crisp, cold snowy Wednesday afternoon in Tignes, the endless giggles from the boys as they rode through the snow on their sledges and the sun beating down on our frozen noses.

ReplyDeleteAw thanks so much Alex. The views in Tignes were amazing- very different to some ski resorts as it's above the tree line so there's no trees anywhere. It's a lovely town too x

ReplyDeleteThank you! I've just posted my first post all about our trip with lots of photos- i can really recommend skiing, such a great holiday x
DeleteHaha, I'm with you there. I'm still asking people if they had a good Christmas like it was last week or something. Gorgeous pics of you in the Alps! I can't wait for our trip in a couple of weeks time - I've never been to Tignes but it's definitely on my list of places to ski! x
ReplyDeleteI know, I'm so behind the times! I'm still even writing 2016 not 2017. Tignes is great- a real challenge as like in Val D'Isere, a green run is more like a blue run, but it makes it all the more fun to learn! x
DeleteI am really considering a skiing trip after seeing everyone's gorgeous photos and reading all about their experiences - it really does make me feel as if I could do it with a 4 year old - something I have been so nervous about considering #meandmineproject
ReplyDeleteAh yes you should definitely book! I saw lots of 4 year olds skiing for the first time and they were doing great! x
DeleteAw such lovely snow photos of you all. I absolutely adore your glasses. Love the colours of the lens. You have certainly made me want to go Ski-ing with my family! xx
