What's in our Baby Boy's Easter Basket & Giveaway

Easter is one of my absolute favourite times of the year, especially when it falls mid-April like it is doing this year. I am hoping these cold days will be well and truly behind us and that we might get a few warm days. I'm especially excited for it this year, firstly because we will be spending it in our new house, secondly because I can't wait to see both our boys enjoying their first little joint Easter egg hunt together (L might even be taking his first steps by then) and also it's Mr F's birthday the day before, so it's going to be a really special family weekend with lots of celebrations.

For the past couple of years I have put together a little Easter basket with a few seasonal gifts for LO to open in the lead up to Easter. I think it's nice to have a few activities to do as we will inevitably have a stretch of days at home with all the bank holidays. This year, I've also made Little L his own little Easter basket with a few little things for him to enjoy too, so I thought I'd share his with you today. I also have an exciting Easter giveaway at the bottom of this blog post...

I haven't bought new baskets, but I do have quite a collection of wicker baskets around my house, so I chose a white one and filled it with some strands of tissue. I've got a few new things but some things are Easter related bits and pieces which I can re-use in their baskets for a few years.

I got L a set of Easter bunny ears. These were £1.00 from The Works. I also picked up this little Easter egg hunt felt bag from George at Asda for £1.00 I think.

As L won't really be eating chocolate, bar a couple of bites of ours probably, I wanted to get him something special which will be useful for a while. He is so so close with his walking now, and will happily walk around inside and outside holding onto one hand. He's been cruising around the furniture for months too, but I think like his brother, he won't let go until he's absolutely sure he can walk on his own. He's nearly 15 months, so he may well be doing a few steps by Easter. When he does start walking though, he's going to need some reins, and I absolutely adore this cute bunny rabbit backpack with reins by LittleLife, which costs £22.99. It's got backpack straps and lots of space inside for a few toys and nappies/wipes when we eventually go out on our walking adventures to the park or the shops.

We have been fans of the Hippy Chick leather baby and toddler shoes since LO was a baby, and both our boys have had a few pairs each. LO has already had these in a smaller size so I was really pleased when the lovely people at Hippy Chick asked if he'd like another chick pair for Easter. They are super comfy, allow his feet the space they need to move around and grow and are perfect for him while he's still in between crawling and cruising. Even once he's walking, they make perfect indoor shoes or slippers and they help keep his socks on too which is always a bonus.

We love books and reading and L is starting to take a little bit more interest in books now. He's not a huge fan of sitting and being read to, but if I lay some on the floor he will sit and play with the pages or look at the pictures. Peppa Pig's Easter Egg Hunt is one we already had, and then I got Hooray for Hoppy and Chicken Little from The Works. They do some great deals on books (3 for £5) and they have lots of Easter related ones in at the moment.

So that's what's in our Baby Boy's Easter basket. I will be sharing what's in LO's Easter basket in the next few days so keep a look out for that too.

I also have one pair of Hippy Chick leather shoes seen in L's Easter basket to give away as a prize to one lucky reader. All you need to do is comment below telling me who you'd like to win the shoes and what size (0-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months) and complete the Rafflecopter Form. Good Luck and I hope you have a very happy Easter!
